Some pieces of land you buy for what they are. This one we bought for what it was underneath. Ten acres on the north edge of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, just past the city line and a short walk from the county fairgrounds. Same family for decades. A good-sized pond. Behind the parcel, 80 acres of privately held recreational land, so the view from the back of the property is timber and sky, with no subdivision pressing in behind you. We saw all of that on the first visit. We also saw everything that had gone wrong.
